Summer Fun at ARTS

We're excited to bring you updates on the two Summer programs we are offering. ARTS on Campus Summer is a collaboration between ARTS, the San Diego Foundation, and the San Diego Unified School District. ARTS is also partnering with our friends at Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center and Ocean Connectors to offer Nature and Me. With the first session of June camps concluded, we're thrilled to announce that there are still spots available for all the July ARTS on Campus Summer sessions (July 10-20th)!

This summer, we've assembled an exceptional team of dedicated individuals who are passionate about inspiring young minds through artistic expression. Leading the charge is our talented Summer Program Coordinator, Katie Carrion, who has been instrumental in ensuring a memorable experience for all our campers. With her enthusiasm and expertise, Katie has created an environment where creativity flourishes and imaginations run wild.

We're also privileged to introduce our team of exceptional Teaching Artists, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our summer camps. Sheena Rae Dowling, Kelsey Kenny, Aleya Lanteigne, Christian Garcia-Olivo, Leah Eria and Yvette Roman are all accomplished artists in their respective fields. These teaching artists are excited to guide and inspire our campers to unlock their artistic potential.

In addition to our teaching artists, we have a fantastic group of Program Assistants who provide invaluable support throughout the summer camp program. Ever Rose Parmely-Den Herder, Imani T Robinson, J Collier, and Amayah Gil are dedicated individuals who have a passion for working with children and ensuring that every camper feels supported and encouraged in their artistic journey.

There is still time to sign up for several of our July ARTS on Campus sessions for SDUSD students! Please visit www.inplay.org/providers/a-reason-to-survive/arts-on-campus or contact our friendly staff at summer@areasontosurvive.org They will be more than happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
