One Year into Community of Care

While the youth we serve are ending their Spring session with us at ARTS, our staff are also coming up on a milestone as well. As a team we have completed our first year of implementing a "Community of Care" at ARTS with guidance from Expressive Arts Therapist, Rachelle Archer (Artful Leadership Coaching & Consulting).

We have made it a priority to create a strong Community of Care among our staff, so that we could extend that care to the youth and families we serve and although the journey is never ending, over the past year we have come a long way!

We have strengthened our relationships as a team and have learned valuable lessons in working with empathy towards ourselves and others. Next steps include implementing the Healing Centered Engagement framework in our programs in a more mindful and deliberate way.

We are grateful to be given the resources and opportunity to incorporate these methodologies into our work in a deeper way. Working with Rachelle has been a rewarding experience, be sure to check out the work she does!
