Director of Creative Community Development
Emma joined ARTS as the Community Arts Manager in 2015 and was promoted to Director of Creative Community Development in 2016, bringing with her eight years of experience in project management, architecture and design-build. She spent three years working independently in New York City on designs for clients in the retail, art and entertainment industries while she completed post-graduate studies in digital design and sculpture, which she applied to her concurrent freelance work in architecture. In her work, Emma is passionate about designing for social change and developing a relationship between art and the built environment. She has used this focus and expertise to shape ARTS Creating Vibrant Neighborhoods Initiative. Emma holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Tulane University’s School of Architecture in New Orleans, Louisiana.
